In 2006, the Presbyterian Church (USA) had 447 congregations with greater than 8oo members.
17 of those 447 congregations had women Senior Pastors or Co-Pastors.
Yes, 3.8% of these large churches had women leading their staff.
Whoop-de-do. Less than 4%.
Information from the research services office.

4:29 PMMy mama actually goes to one of the 3.7%. Of course, they're co-pastors. Guess who does most of the preaching?- apbs said...
5:34 PMthis inspired me to go look at louie crew's page, who keeps unofficial data of the episcopal church. his data is almost 10 years old, but it's pretty depressing: women are less likely to be rectors (head of staff), regardless of the congregation's size, than any other subgroup. blah. i have to admit i didn't realize i would still be a trailblazer when i got into this.
